Love Lennox Festival Secures Funding and Gears Up for June Event

The Love Lennox Festival is officially a go, with organisers confirming their fundraising target has been met after a packed community event hosted by Club Lennox.

Michelle Bailey, President of the Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce, said the strong turnout means the popular festival can remain free for all.

“We’re very pleased. It was a packed house, and we’ve sold our fundraiser tickets,” she said. “That means we’re good to go.”

While the festival receives support from major sponsors and Ballina Shire Council, rising costs and limited sponsorship meant additional funding was crucial.

“Businesses just can’t contribute like they used to,” Bailey said. “We’ve had to raise $62,000 this year. That’s what it takes to keep this festival free for our community.”

The fundraising event was filled with music and dancing, thanks to local band The Mumblers, who will also take the stage at the festival on Saturday June 14.

New volunteers have joined the organising team, including a dedicated coordinator and entertainment lead. “Vicky has come on board as our volunteer coordinator, and Lauren is managing entertainment,” Bailey said. “They’ve both brought great energy and ideas.”

Cr Bailey said the festival promises to be a high-energy, family-friendly celebration.

“This event is all about Lennox and the people who make it such a great place to live and visit.”
