Police are appealing for public help to locate a nine-year-old boy reported missing from Queensland, who is believed to be in the Northern Rivers region.
James Daly was last seen in Queensland two weeks ago.
When he could not be found or contacted, Queensland Police began inquiries into his whereabouts.
The matter has since been referred to NSW Police, with detectives from the Richmond Police District now leading the search.
James is described as Caucasian, about 125cm tall, with brown eyes and light brown hair.
Investigators believe he may be in the company of a 44-year-old woman known to him, who is known to frequent Lismore, Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah and parts of south-east Queensland.
Police are urging anyone who sees James or has information on his whereabouts to contact Lismore Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
