Music lovers are in for an afternoon of live entertainment when the Ballina Shire Concert Band and the Lismore City Concert Band join forces for a special collaborative concert in Alstonville next month.

The two community bands will perform together at McCarthy Hall on Sunday, August 9, continuing a popular series of Northern Rivers concerts that celebrate local musical talent and community spirit.

Audiences can expect a varied program featuring concert band favourites, modern classics and a range of music designed to appeal to all ages.

Organisers say the regular collaboration concerts provide an opportunity for musicians from both bands to perform together while strengthening community connections through live music.

The concert will run from 2pm to 4pm at McCarthy Hall, with entry via 44 Main Street, Alstonville.

Admission is by donation, with all proceeds supporting the Ballina Shire Concert Band and Lismore City Concert Band, helping them continue to bring live music performances to communities across the Northern Rivers.
