The Alstonville Wollongbar Chamber of Commerce is preparing to launch a new chapter, with local businesses invited to celebrate a renewed vision aimed at strengthening the Plateau’s business community.

The Chamber will officially unveil its new branding and future direction at a special event at Plateau Sports, Alstonville, on Saturday, August 1.

Organisers say the relaunch is about much more than a new logo, with the Chamber seeking to build stronger connections between businesses, encourage collaboration and support economic growth across the Plateau.

Chamber President Jemma Coulter said it was a chance to revitalise businesses on the Plateau following the 2022 floods.

“Obviously, there have been plenty of changes for businesses since the 2022 floods,” she said.

“A lof of Sydney businesses have moved here and we are becoming a bit of a destination.”

The event will bring together business owners, community leaders and supporters to hear about the Chamber’s plans for the future and how it hopes to better represent local businesses.

Live entertainment will be provided by the Rochelle Lees Trio.

More than 60 tickets have already been sold, with organisers encouraging anyone interested in the future of the local business community to secure a place before bookings close.

The evening begins with arrivals from 6pm before the official launch at 6.30pm at Plateau Sports, Alstonville.
