Police report they have recovered the body of a 25-year-old woman. She was reported missing from Minyon Falls Lookout in the Whian Whian State Forest shortly before midday on Wednesday (21 May 2025).
In a statement, they stated, “There are no suspicious circumstances, and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
“Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.”

For those looking at travelling south on the M1, although the weather is looking better, the roads are still blocked. Live traffic reports:
“The Pacific Highway remains closed between Coopernook and Purfleet, near Taree, due to flooding. The current diversion is inland only. For southbound take Big River Way from Tyndale to South Grafton, Gwydir Hwy to Glen Innes, New England Hwy to Beresfield, then rejoin Pacific Hwy. For northbound use the diversion in reverse order. You 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗡𝗢𝗧 go any other way.”

In Lennox Head tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon, the 100 Club raffle will be on at Club Lennox in support of the Love Lennox Festival.
