
Second disappearance sparks fresh fears for missing teen
A teenage girl known to frequent Ballina has sparked fresh concern after going missing again, with police confirming it is the second time she has disappeared within a year.
Mickalya Schipp, 16, was last seen in Lismore on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Richmond Police District were notified about 10pm on Tuesday, March 24, and began inquiries into her whereabouts.
Police and family have expressed concerns for her welfare due to her age.

Mickalya is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 147cm tall, of medium build, with bright red hair, freckles and grey eyes.
She was last seen wearing grey tracksuit pants, a black T-shirt and carrying a black backpack.
Police say she is known to frequent the Lismore and Ballina areas.
