Flood buyback houses back under the hammer
Flood-affected homes in Lismore will go under the hammer again this month, with some expected to sell for as little as $1.
The NSW Reconstruction Authority has confirmed 10 buyback homes will be offered in a new no-reserve auction as part of its flood recovery program.
Buyers must relocate the homes to flood-free land within 11 months, with support available through a dedicated relocation concierge service.
More than 160 homes have already been offered under the scheme, with sale prices ranging from $1 to $200,000.
The auction will be run by PRD Northern Rivers Real Estate at the Lismore Workers Sports Club in Goonellabah on April 22.
