The Alstonville Community Market has been cancelled for April due to economic pressures.

Organisers say rising fuel costs and increasing living expenses are affecting both stallholders and customers.

The volunteer committee said the decision was made to protect the long-term sustainability of the market.

They thanked vendors and the community for their ongoing support during what they described as a challenging period.

The market is expected to return in May, conditions permitting.
