Little Village Clothes Swap has been awarded the first Ballina Shire Council Resource Recovery Community Grant.

The free monthly event is held at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre and focuses on reusing children’s clothing.

Families can take part by bringing along clean, good-quality clothes to swap, with no cost to participate.

The initiative also runs workshops teaching simple ways to repair, repurpose and extend the life of garments.

Since launching in June 2025, it has attracted around 300 participants and diverted about 10 tonnes of textiles from landfill.
