A man in his 60s has been airlifted to hospital after being crushed by a tractor in a rural incident northwest of Tenterfield.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance about 11.30am on Tuesday after reports the tractor had rolled, pinning the man against a fence.

NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team treated the man at the scene for multiple fractures before he was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.

He was reported to be in a stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the tractor rollover have not been disclosed.
