Five teenagers, including two aged just 12 and 14, have been arrested after an allegedly stolen car led police on a pursuit from Alstonville towards Lismore.

Police attempted to stop the hatchback on Johnston Road at Alstonville about 3.30pm on Sunday, before a pursuit began through Teven and along the Bruxner Highway towards Lismore.

The pursuit ended on Alphadale Road after the vehicle skidded off the road and onto a grass embankment.

Police arrested the 16-year-old boy allegedly driving the vehicle, along with four passengers — two boys aged 12 and 15 and two girls aged 14 and 15.

The 16-year-old was charged with three offences and granted strict conditional bail.

He is due to face court next month.
