Missing teenager known to frequent Ballina

Police are appealing for help to find a missing teenager who is known to frequent Ballina.

Willow Orkney, also known as Scarlett, 16, was last seen on Channon Road at The Channon about 2.30pm on Thursday, June 4.

When she could not be located or contacted, officers from Richmond Police District were notified and began inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for her welfare.

Willow is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm to 165cm tall, with a thin build and brown hair.

She was last seen wearing boots, a knee-length green skirt, an oversized denim jacket with patches, and a green, red and black knitted scarf.

She may be carrying either a light-coloured backpack featuring a mushroom image or a green tote bag.

Willow is known to frequent The Channon, Ballina and Murwillumbah areas.

Anyone who has seen Willow or knows of her whereabouts is urged to contact Lismore Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
